Goal Setting Tips - Take the time to set a goal with your group. Make it simple. Write it down, and post it somewhere. Set a timeline. Decide who is going to do what, and when. Check in regularly. Celebrate success and debrief failure. Two steps forward, one step back. Expect opposition. Pray. And... please let us know what you are doing in your area through the Group Updates in The Rose, our pro-life newsletter. Good work!

Fundraising Ideas - We recommend Fundraising for Dummies and other books available in your local bookstore. Set a fundraising goal. Link it to a project. Track donations. Invite donors to partner with you in other ways. Always say, 'Thank you.' In the past, our supporters have hosted Fundraising meals and events complete with speakers and musicians. They have held bazaars, silent auctions, bottle drives and walk-a-thon's. They have raised money for billboards, ads, educational materials and memorials. For more ideas, check out the Resource Centre for Volunteer Organizations at Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton. They're online and are a ready resource. Your municipality may offer similar services. Why not ask a professional fundraiser to speak to your group?

Ways to Get Involved - Wear Precious Feet. Pray for an abortionist. Put pro-life stickers on all outgoing mail. Include brochures in all your bills. Get a pro-life bumper sticker. Write your MLA or MP directly. Write letters to the Editor. Host a panel discussion, or book club. Encourage the youth in your life to know more. Volunteer at a pregnancy care centre. Check your school's sex-education curricula. Offer to speak at a high school. Ask your pastor if you can make a short presentation. Buy baby clothes at yard sales and donate to a pregnancy centre. Financially support a pro-life organization, or politician willing to take a stand. Dig in and check out pro-life (and pro-abortion) websites. Report back to your group. Brush up on your public presentation skills. Know the latest statistics and bring them up in conversation. Picket where you can. PRAY.
